News "Barbra" Duets with Korey, Panaro, Mason, Gravitte, Hines and More on New CD "Simply Barbra: The Duets Album" is the title of Streisand impersonator Steven Brinberg's latest recording, which will hit stores this spring.

The 11-track CD is scheduled to arrive in stores April 11 on the LML label. Brinberg — in vocal guise as Streisand — duets with a host of theatre favorites, including Alix Korey, Hugh Panaro, Heather Mac Rae, Karen Mason, Debbie Gravitte and Claiborne Cary.

It's a busy time for Brinberg, who will sing four songs from Funny Girl as well as one tune from Hallelujah, Baby! at the Feb. 14 all-Jule-Styne program with the Carolina Pops in Greenboro, NC. That evening will also feature the talents of George Dvorsky and Valerie Perri. Visit www.greenborosymphony.org.

The acclaimed performer will then begin a monthly appearance at the Metropolitan Room in Manhattan on March 26. His guest for the first evening will be Edward Scissorhands star Sam Archer. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street. For more information visit www.metropolitanroom.com.

Steven Brinberg has performed his Streisand impersonation on stages in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Houston and the U.K. He recently completed a sold-out tour of the U.K. and the West End, following record-breaking runs at London's Playhouse and Jermyn Street theatres. Brinberg is the winner of the MAC Award and the Bistro Award for his Simply Barbra performances. He also appeared in the workshops of Ken Page’s musical Nightlife.
