Multi-award-winning artist Barbra Streisand returns to the Winter Garden Theatre August 26, where she achieved stardom in the 1964 Broadway production of Funny Girl.
The invite-only town hall event, hosted by SiriusXM Radio, celebrates the release of Streisand’s newest theatre album: Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, which is released August 26. Read reviews for the album here.
Streisand will sit down for a Q&A session with a select group of SiriusXM listeners. The event with Streisand, hosted by Patrick Wilson, will air September 7 at 5 PM ET on The Barbra Streisand Channel.
The Barbra Streisand Channel, which originally ran on SiriusXM in September 2014, will feature music spanning Streisand’s award-winning career, from her 1963 debut through her new album, Encore. Streisand, according to press notes, will “give listeners exclusive commentary and reflection on the rare tribute to a lifetime of song."
The limited-run channel will launch September 6 at 5 PM ET and will run through October 3, via satellite on channel 18 and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com.
In addition, CBS Sunday Morning will profile Barbra Streisand August 28. In this new clip, the entertainment icon returns to The Winter Garden Theatre, the Broadway home of Funny Girl.
