Hand in Hand — A Benefit for Hurricane Relief, featuring musical performances, appearances, and messages of support from the entertainment industry’s leading talents, airs live September 12 at 8 PM/ET across several major networks, including ABC, BET, Bravo, CBS, CMT, NBC, FOX, E!, HBO, MTV, and more.
The concert will replay at 8 PM PST for West Coast viewers. A live stream of the initial broadcast will begin at 8 PM/ET on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
Initially announced as a fundraiser for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, the scope of the telethon was expanded last week as Hurricane Irma hit Florida.
Among the stars announced to appear are Barbra Streisand, Wayne Brady, Beyoncé, Josh Groban, Oprah Winfrey, Jamie Foxx, George Clooney, Karlie Kloss, Matt Lauer, Rob Lowe, Matthew McConaughey, Norah O'Donnell, Dennis Quaid, Julia Roberts, Kelly Rowland, Adam Sandler, Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, Blake Shelton, Strait, Reese Witherspoon, and more.
The broadcast will also feature a special performance from country music star and Texas native George Strait, who will perform live from his benefit concert at San Antonio's Majestic Theatre.
Phone lines, text messaging, and digital donations will open at the start of the telethon and remain open one hour after its conclusion to raise funds for relief efforts.
Proceeds will benefit the Rebuild Texas Fund, ASPCA, Best Friends, Direct Relief, Feeding Florida, Feeding Texas, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, The United Way, and The Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief (administered by the Greater Houston Community Fund) through the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund managed by Comic Relief USA.
