In a new "add-rap-tation" of the Shakespearean classic, The Comedy of Errors, a live DJ and a whole lot of rhythmic rhyming come together to create the hip hop Bomb-itty of Errors, beginning performances Nov. 30 and opening Dec. 12 at 45 Bleecker. New York Shakespeare Festival's Andy Goldberg (Romeo and Juliet, Two Noble Kinsmen) directs.

Shakespeare's comedy follows two sets of twin brothers, ignorant of the other's existence, as they wander in and out of each other's lives, leaving comic mayhem and mistaken identities in their wake. With original music by DJ J.A.Q, Bomb-itty modernizes the story and retells it in rap. The play was first performed at New York University's Experimental Theatre Wing with a workshop that followed at New York Stage and Film.

Bomb-itty is written and performed by GQ, Erik Weiner, Jason Catalano, and Jordan Allen-Dutton.

Designing the show are Scott Pask (sets), David C. Woolard (costumes), James Vermeulen (lighting) and One Dream Sound and Sunil Rajan (sound).

Tickets are $35-$20 and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307 4100. The Bomb-itty of Errors is on the web at http://www.bomb-itty.com. -- By Christine Ehren
