News Barrington Stage Finds Its Tevye for Summer Fiddler on the Roof Initial casting has been announced for the Barrington Stage Company's upcoming production of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof.

Directed and choreographed by Gary John LaRosa with music direction by Darren R. Cohen, performances are scheduled for June 13-July 14 in the Berkshires.

The cast will be headed by Tony nominee Brad Oscar as Tevye with Joanna Glushak (Sweet Smell of Success) as Golde.

Oscar was nominated for a Tony Award in 2001 for his performance as Franz Liebkind in The Producers. He has also been seen on Broadway in Aspects of Love, Jekyll & Hyde, Spamalot and The Addams Family.

Fiddler on the Roof features a score by Jerry Bock (music) and Sheldon Harnick (lyrics), with a book by Joseph Stein, based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem. The score boasts such tunes as "Tradition," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Sunrise, Sunset.”
