News Barrington's Private Lives, with Egolf, Innvar, Brooksher, Dold and Cronyn, Begins Aug. 7 The classic Noel Coward comedy Private Lives begins performances at the Barrington Stage Company Aug. 7.

Directed by BSC artistic director Julianne Boyd, the production will officially open Aug. 10 at 5 PM and continue through Aug. 24.

The five-person comedy features the talents of Gretchen Egolf as Amanda, Christopher Innvar as Elyot, Rebecca Brooksher as Sybil, Mark H. Dold as Victor and Tandy Cronyn as maid Louise.

Private Lives, according to Barrington, concerns "two divorcés, Elyot Chase and Amanda Prynne, [who] bump into one another on their second honeymoons only to end up ditching their spouses, Victor and Sibyl; they run off to Paris where they renew an affair of the heart that leads to dangerous and comic consequences."

The design team comprises Karl Eigsti (sets), Elizabeth Flauto (costumes), Scott Pinkney (lighting) and Matt O'Hare (sound).
