David Saint's staging of Anne Meara's After-Play, seen at the Pasadena Playhouse last fall, will enjoy an afterlife at the Canon Theatre in Beverly Hills. Previews begin Feb. 11 for an opening Feb. 17, with the Pasadena cast -- Beatrice Arthur, Paul Dooley, Marian Mercer and Robert Mandan, Marian Mercer, Susan Clark, Kenneth Ryan and Dennison Samaroo -- intact. Arthur's credits include Fiddler on the Roof and TV's "Maude;" Mandan starred in TV's "Soap."

After-Play concerns two aging couples arguing over the meaning of a play at a midtown restaurant -- or is it?

Designing After are James Youmans (set), Paulie Jenkins (lighting), Zoe DuFour (costumes) and Jon Gottlieb (sound). Barry Brown and Judith Resnick are producing this mounting of the Off-Broadway hit.
