Bea Arthur

The show, with musical numbers, will feature Arthur accompanied at the piano by musical director Billy Goldenberg, the award-winning composer of the musical Ballroom. Arthur, who is 80 years old, will be making her West End debut, but has, of course, a long career on the American stage, including Mame with Angela Lansbury and the original company of Fiddler on the Roof.

Arthur played a limited engagement of her one-woman show on Broadway. That production — entitled Just Between Friends: Bea Arthur on Broadway — played the intimate Booth Theatre. The show was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event.
