News Beauty's Egan and Beach Reunite in CA South Pacific Aug. 24-30 Susan Egan and Gary Beach, two of the original stars of Broadway's Beauty and the Beast, will team again for the Music Circus production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, Aug. 24-30, in Sacramento, CA. Egan played Belle in Beauty and the Beast to Beach's Lumiere. Both were nominated for Tony Awards.

Susan Egan and Gary Beach, two of the original stars of Broadway's Beauty and the Beast, will team again for the Music Circus production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, Aug. 24-30, in Sacramento, CA. Egan played Belle in Beauty and the Beast to Beach's Lumiere. Both were nominated for Tony Awards.

Egan will play Nellie Forbush is the Sacramento production. Beach will essay the role of Luther Billis, the comical seabee. New York Metropolitan Opera soloist Vernon Hartman is the romantic lead Emile de Becque; Eric Kunze plays Lt. Joe Cable.

Egan's other credits include the musical Triumph of Love, which ran on Broadway last fall, and lent her voice to the character Megara in the Disney animated film Hercules. Beach played Dorothy Loudon's philandering hubby in City Center's "Encores!" edition of Sweet Adeline in 1997.

James Rocco directs South Pacific, which features such classic songs as "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair," "Younger Than Springtime," and "Some Enchanted Evening."
