News Bedford, Gallagher, Lansbury, Nixon and Slattery Will Join Bening in Actors Fund's "All About Eve" Reading Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming reading of the screenplay of the classic backstage drama "All About Eve."

The reading, which will benefit the Actors Fund of America, will be presented Nov. 10 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Emmy and DGA Award winner John Erman will direct the evening, which will feature the previously announced Annette Bening as Margo Channing. Show time is 7:30 PM.

Joining Bening will be Tony Award winner Brian Bedford as Addison DeWitt, Tony nominee Peter Gallagher as Bill, four time Tony winner Angela Lansbury as Birdie, Tony winner Cynthia Nixon as Karen and Emmy nominee John Slattery as Lloyd.

Additional casting will be announced shortly.

The 1950 film "All About Eve" was written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, based on the short story "The Wisdom of Eve" by Mary Orr. The motion picture starred Bette Davis as Channing, the prominent yet aging Broadway star, and Anne Baxter as Eve Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into Channing's life.

The film was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture. The Eugene O'Neill Theatre is located in Manhattan at 230 West 49th Street.
