Played in rep and with four actors — Edmund Lewis, Tom O’Keefe, Andrus Nichols and Eric Tucker — Hamlet and Saint Joan are described as "boldly theatrical, stripped down, immersive productions of classic plays by one of America's most innovative downtown theatre companies."

Playing at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre in NYC (formerly the 45 Bleeker Street Theatre), Hamlet will officially open Nov. 19 opening.

Here's how Hamlet is billed: "In this quintessential Shakespearean drama, Hamlet's halting pursuit of revenge for his father's death unfolds in a series of highly charged confrontations that climax in tragedy."

Here's how Saint Joan is billed: "Saint Joan is based on the life and trial of Joan of Arc. Fascinated by the story of Joan of Arc (canonized in 1920), George Bernard Shaw presents a realistic portrayal of Joan: proud, intolerant, naïve, foolhardy, always brave-a rebel who challenged the conventions and values of her day."

Other members of the creative team include John McDermott (set design), Les Dickert (lighting design) and Trampas Thompson (fight choreographer).

Producers Meredith Lucio and Sarah Hancock in association with Perry Street Theatricals present the Bedlam productions.

Bedlam is a company "committed to the immediacy of the relationship between the actor and the audience." The Bedlam productions of Hamlet and Saint Joan played in repertory at the Access Theatre in NYC from Feb. 7–April 7 and will play at the Olney Center in Montgomery County, MD, Sept. 4–Oct. 20.
