The A&E talk show will also include chats with theatre director Bob Balaban, photographer and filmmaker Gordon Parks and Grammy Award winner Shelby Lynne. The two-hour program will also feature portions of Richard Strauss' "Intermezzo" and Benjamin Britten's operetta Paul Bunyan.
After a run Off-Broadway at Second Stage, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee reopened at Circle in the Square Theatre. The musical was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical (Rachel Sheinkin), Best Original Score (William Finn), Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Dan Fogler), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Celia Keenan-Bolger) and Best Direction of a Musical (James Lapine). The musical won Tonys for book writer Sheinkin and actor Fogler.
