The Trip Cullman-directed production was originally scheduled to run through Aug. 7. It began previews on July 12 and will open at Second Stage's uptown home, the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, Broadway at 76th St., on July 26 at 7 PM.

Here's how Second Stage describes the play: "On the eve of her wedding, Becky has arranged the perfect bachelorette celebration — but after two party crashers, one manipulative maid of honor, and a bathtub of booze, things don't go according to plan. This New York premiere play is a brutally comic look at friendship and betrayal on the way to the altar."

Bachelorette is the second play in the 2010 Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series. The cast includes Tracee Chimo, Carmen M. Herlihy, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Fran Kranz and Katherine Waterston.

The Uptown Series was created as a program to help develop and provide exposure for the voices of a new generation of theatre artists.

The 2010 Uptown Series began earlier this summer with the New York premiere of Michael Golamco's Year Zero, directed by Will Frears.

Single tickets are $50; advance youth tickets (age 30 and under) are $20; and student rush tickets are $10 (available 30 minutes prior to curtain). For more information, visit www.2ST.com.
