News Behind the Music-al to Welcome Duncan Sheik and Laurence O'Keefe to 92YTribeca Behind the Music-al: Just Add Music, featuring Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik and Tony Award nominee Laurence O'Keefe, will be presented Feb. 11 at the 92YTribeca.

The behind-the-scenes series offers an inside look at the process of writing for contemporary musical theatre. According to the 92YTribeca, "In this installment of the series, learn how songwriters determine the best way to add music to an existing property. When the book already exists, how do you make it sing? How does writing music for an already known story differ from writing music for other types of stories?"

Sheik, who earned a Tony Award for Spring Awakening, is currently composing the new musical American Psycho based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel and film of the same title. It will debut in London this fall. O'Keefe earned a Tony nomination for his score to Legally Blonde and is also at work on a musical based on the cult film "Heathers."

O'Keefe will moderate the 8 PM discussion that will also include Behind the Music-al co-creators Kyle Ewalt and Michael I. Walker. Ewalt and Walker are also the writers of Bromance: The Dudesical.

The evening will also feature selections from the writers' projects.

For tickets visit 92YTribeca. The 92YTribeca is located at 200 Hudson Street in Manhattan.
