"NEO: new, emerging . . outstanding" features the vocals of such Broadway talents as Judy Kaye, Barbara Walsh, Kerry Butler, Kate Shindle, Laura Benanti, Darius de Haas, Max von Essen, Christiane Noll, Tonya Pinkins and Laura Bell Bundy. The concert, directed by Jamie McGonnigal with musical direction by Mark Hartman, features a mix of ballads and comedy tunes from such new musicals as Chasing Nicolette, The Opposite of Sex and The Lady in Penthouse B. Bryan Batt, currently on Broadway in the revival of La Cage aux Folles, offers introductions to many of the tunes.
