Benedict Cumberbatch, who scored a major success in the title role of the recent London revival of Hamlet, hosts the November 5 broadcast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

The musical guest for the evening is Solange Knowles. It will also be Alec Baldwin's last chance to play Republican nominee Donald Trump prior to the presidential election November 8.

Cumberbatch is well-known for playing the title role in BBC's Sherlock and his Oscar-nominated film performance as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. Stage credits include After the Dance and Frankenstein (both at London’s National Theatre).

Saturday Night Live, which airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 PM ET, is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
