He will begin performances there Aug. 19 prior to an official opening Aug. 21, for a run through Sept. 7.

He previously performed it at the same address last October, under the show's original title The Bridge, following a premiere season at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The show, directed by Sean Daniels, is described in press materials as featuring "one man, six guitars and an incredible story of love, loss and survival."

Scheuer is a composer, lyricist, record producer and performing musician who trained at Harvard University. He writes for and leads the band Escapist Papers, in which he sings and plays guitar. His writing credits include Jihad! The Musical (Edinburgh Festival and Jermyn Street Theatre), The Nightingale and the Rose (Metropolis Opera Project, New York) and What Would Nora Say (Roundabout Theatre Company).

The Lion was originally developed from an album of songs that Scheuer wrote and premiered at Lincoln Center in 2012. The title track was made into a video by animator/ director Peter Baynton and premiered at the Annecy Animated Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Award for Best Commissioned Film. It also won the Public Choice Award for Best Music Video at the British Animation Awards. To book tickets, contact the box office on 0844 264 2140 or visit www.stjamestheatre.co.uk.
