Peters will join Regis Philbin as co-host for the July 27 broadcast of the syndicated talk show. "Live with Regis and Kelly" airs in the metropolitan area on WABC-TV Channel 7 from 9-10 AM ET; check local listings. The award-winning actress will also make two radio appearances. On July 27 Peters will chat with Joan Hamburg on "The Joan Hamburg Show" (10:35 AM on WOR 710 AM), and she will also guest on "Jonathan Schwartz — The Sunday Show," which airs at noon on 93.9 FM.

Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Momma Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods.

Peters' newest recording, "Sondheim, Etc., Etc.—Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is set to hit stores on the Angel Records label Aug. 2.
