Beyonce will sing "Learn to Be Lonely," the one new song penned for the film of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera." It will be a busy evening for the pop star; she will also join Josh Groban for a duet of "The Polar Express" tune "Believe" and will be backed by the American Boyschoir as she sings "Look to Your Path" from "Les Choristes." Another nominee in the Best Song Category — "Accidentally in Love" from "Shrek 2" — will be performed by Counting Crows. Joel Schumacher's "The Phantom of the Opera," based on the Tony Award-winning Lloyd Webber musical of the same name, earned three nominations, including those for Art Direction, Cinematography and, of course, Best Song ("Learn to Be Lonely").
The nominees for Best Song follow:
"Accidentally in Love" - "Shrek 2"
"Al Otro Lado Del Río" - "The Motorcycle Diaries"
"Believe" - "The Polar Express"
"Learn To Be Lonely" - "The Phantom of the Opera"
"Look to Your Path (Vois Sur Ton Chemin)" - "The Chorus"
Comedian Chris Rock will host the annual Oscar ceremony, which will be broadcast Sunday, Feb. 27 at 8 PM ET on ABC-TV.
