News Bierko, Pinkins Tell of Sudden Unemployment in Gurwitch's One-Nighter Fired!, Jan. 12 Television personality Annabelle Gurwitch ("Dinner and a Movie," "Not Necessarily the News") as well as Craig Bierko (The Music Man,) Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change), Eric Simonson (The Capeman) and Fisher Stevens (The Exonerated) tell their tales of woe and unemployment in the one-night event Fired!, Jan. 12.

The actress, whose stage credits Joe and Betty, Uncommon Women and Others, talks of being fired by her idol Woody Allen during rehearsals of the Off-Broadway staging of Writer's Block. "After writing and performing a piece about the experience, many others were inspired to tell their tales," promotional materials explain. Gurwitch, Bierko, Pinkins, Simonson and Stevens are also joined by John Fleck ("Carnivale"), Judy Gold ("At The Multiplex"), Matt Walsh ("Upright Citizens Brigade") and surprise guests.

The show will play at Second Stage Theatre, 307 West 43 St. (Just off Eighth Ave.) as part of the company's Monday Night Live series. Tickets ($25) are available by calling (212) 246-4422.
