News Big River's Calhoun Joins Taboo Team Jeff Calhoun, who helmed the recent acclaimed revival of Big River, has joined the creative team of Taboo.

Calhoun will serve as choreographic consultant for the Boy George musical, which begins previews Oct. 24 at the Plymouth Theatre prior to an official opening Nov. 13. Produced by Rosie O'Donnell and Adam Kenwright, Taboo stars Boy George, Euan Morton, Sarah Uriarte Berry, Raúl Esparza, Liz McCartney, Cary Shields and Donnie Keshawarz. The company comprises Jennifer Cody, Dioni Michelle Collins, Brooke Elliott, Lisa Gajda, Bob Gaynor, Curtis Holbrook, Lori Holmes, Jennifer Mrozik, Nathan Peck, Alexander Quiroga, Asa Somers, Denise Summerford, Jody Reynard, James Tabeek and Gregory Treco.

Jeff Calhoun received a 1994 Tony Award nomination for Best Choreography for the long-running revival of Grease!, which he also directed. His other Broadway credits include Bells Are Ringing, Annie Get Your Gun, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, Tommy Tune Tonite! and The Will Rogers Follies. Calhoun also directed and choreographed the recent debut of the Broadway-bound musical Brooklyn.
