A contemporary adaptation of Moliere's Scapin by Bill Irwin and Mark O'Donnell opens Dec. 1 at the American Theater Company in Chicago.
Irwin himself directed and starred in this version of the comedy in its 1995 premiere at Seattle Rep and its subsequent production at NY's Roundabout Theatre.
In this production, Jim Ortlieb is the wily servant Scapin and the director is Brian Russell (ATC's artistic director).
The cast also includes Daniel Ruben, Kevin Kelly, Tom Seymour, Joe Dempsey, Davfid Frutkoff, Genevra Galla, Lynn M. House, France Jean-Baptiste, Ed Kross, David Pease and E. Rawlings Thurman.
