As previously reported, "1600 Penn" is co-created by Gad, "Modern Family" director Jason Winer and Jon Lovett, former speechwriter to President Barack Obama. The pilot was given the green light by NBC after Gad signed on to star.
Directed by Winer, the Mormon Tony nominee will play the out-of-control oldest son of a dysfunctional family who resides in the White House. Snow will play Gad's overachieving sister, and Pullman has signed on to play President Dale Gilchrist.
Gad is also an executive producer alongside Winer and Lovett.
Pullman was seen on Broadway in Oleanna and The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? His film and television credits include "Independence Day," "Lost Highway" and "While You Were Sleeping," among others.
Snow, who played Amber Von Tussle in the 2007 movie musical "Hairspray," has also been seen in "John Tucker Must Die" and "Prom Night," among others.
