The Tony Award-winning musical will hold an open call for Ballet Girls Sept. 18 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Sign up for audition slots will begin at 10 AM.
Strong tap skills are required. The production, according to press notes, "is seeking a variety of shapes and sizes (tiny, chubby, lanky, quirky, etc) with expressive character and lots of personality - not your traditional ballerina - to be cast in all North American Billy Elliot productions."
The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. Billy Elliot is currently playing at the Imperial Theatre.
