News Billy Porter Makes In-Store Appearance at Tower Records Sept. 28 Fans of singer-actor Billy Porter should head to the Lincoln Center Tower Records Sept. 28.

The performer will be on hand to sing selections from his new CD, "Billy Porter: At the Corner of Broadway & Soul," which was recently released on the Sh-K-Boom Records label. Porter will also autograph copies of the disc, which was recorded live at Joe's Pub and features a mix of Broadway, gospel and original R&B songs. The performance is set to begin at 6 PM. Billy Porter, recently seen Off-Broadway in Second Stage's Birdie Blue, also appeared in the Public Theater's productions of Merchant of Venice and King Lear. His Broadway credits include Grease!, Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe's Cafe and the Dreamgirls Actors' Fund benefit. Regionally, Porter has appeared in Angels in America and Going Native, and his screen credits include "Broken Hearts Club," "Shake Rattle & Roll" and "The Intern."
