The troupe of the interactive, play-along musical comedy will perform two numbers – "Gentleman Caller," featuring Tony Award nominee Liz Larsen and Patrick Ryan Sullivan, and "Under My Wing," led by Liz McCartney. The WB-11 Morning News airs throughout the New York City region on Channel 11.
Bingo is playing an open-ended run at Off-Broadway’s St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street). Bingo is directed by Thomas Caruso, with book by Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid, and lyrics and music by Heitzman, Reid and David Holcenberg.
The cast includes Klea Blackhurst as Bernice/Marilyn, Chevi Colton as Minnie, Janet Metz as Patsy and Beth Malone as Alison.
On Jan. 2, 2006, Broadway's Jessica-Snow Wilson (Little Shop of Horrors, Good Vibrations) will assume the role of Alison, as Malone departs Bingo to begin rehearsals for Broadway's upcoming Ring of Fire.
"In this interactive musical comedy, the audience gets to join in the bingo games at Hamerin County's St. Luke's Church basement, where they will meet – among others – Vern, Honey and Patsy, three pals that have driven through a terrible thunderstorm in the name of their weekly obsession," according to the producers. "In between the number calling, strange rituals and fierce competitions, love blossoms and estranged friends reunite, sending everyone home a winner."
