News Birdland April Line-Up to Include Pedi, Brown, Stritch, de Haas and "Barbra" A host of familiar theatre and cabaret faces will be seen next month at Birdland, the famed jazz club on West 44th Street.

Christine Pedi, the Forbidden Broadway star who was recently seen in A Broadway Diva Christmas, will perform at Birdland April 3 at 7 PM. Pedi has titled her evening "Great Dames," and the concert promises a "collection of songs by and about the great ladies, divas, dolls, broads, babes, sirens and songstresses of the stage and screen." (Cover charge is $25).

Tony Award-winning Parade composer Jason Robert Brown will head to the jazz venue April 4 at 8 PM. Brown, who will be joined by the Caucasian Rhythm Kings, will perform songs from his stage musicals as well as tunes from his solo recording, "Wearing Someone Else's Clothes." (Cover charge is $35.)

42nd Street's Billy Stritch will salute the work of the late vocalist Mel Tormé in "Billy Stritch Sings the Mel Tormé Songbook." Those who attend the 7 PM concert on April 10 can expect to hear Stritch's renditions of "Just One of Those Things," "Mountain Greenery," "Blue Moon" and "Lulu's Back in Town." (Cover charge is $30.)

Steven Brinberg returns from his symphonic tour with Marvin Hamlisch to offer Simply Barbra: Wait Till We're 64—The Birthday Concert. The renowned Streisand impersonator will perform April 17 at 7 PM, and the evening will include "songs, stories and special guest stars from the Broadway stage." (Cover charge is $25.)

Darius de Haas, the acclaimed tenor who has been seen on Broadway in Marie Christine and Rent, will perform April 22 at Birdland. De Haas' 9 and 11 PM shows will feature tunes from his previous concerts devoted to the works of Stevie Wonder and Billy Strayhorn. The singing actor will also offer a few original songs.
