Icelandic music icon Bjök will premiere a new concert production at The Shed, the arts center set to open near Manhattan’s Hudson Yards and the High Line in spring 2019. Cornucopia will mark the artist’s first production created with theatre collaborators, with Tony-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child director John Tiffany at the helm.

The Grammy nominee considers the presentation to be her most elaborate concert to date, referring to the project as one “where the acoustic and digital will shake hands.”

The creative team includes choreographer Margrét Bjarnadóttir, set designer Chloe Lamord, digital visual designer Tobias Gremmler, lighting designer Bruno Poet, costume designer Iris Van Herpen, and sound designer Gareth Fry.


Joining Björk on stage will be the seven-piece Icelandic flute ensemble Viibra: Melkorka Ólafsdóttir, Áshildur Haraldsdóttir, Berglind María Tómasdóttir, Steinunn Vala Pálsdóttir, Björg Brjánsdóttir, Þuríður Jónsdóttir, and Emilía Rós Sigfúsdóttir, as well as Katie Buckley (harp), Manu Delago (percussion) and Bergur Þórisson (electronics).

The Shed, led by Artistic Director and CEO Alex Poots, is set to feature numerous spaces for a range of artistic endeavors, from concerts and theatrical productions to art shows special events, and labs.
