News Black Nativity Now to Play Theatre at St. Clement's This Winter Alfred Preisser and Tracy Jack's Black Nativity Now will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Theatre at St. Clement's beginning in December.

Performances at the Manhattan venue are scheduled for Dec. 3, 2010-Jan. 2, 2011.

Black Nativity Now, according to press notes, is a "holiday gospel pageant for our time and for all people. Set inside a fabulous show-biz church in the midst of the famed and scabrous landscape of Times Square, [the production] tells the story of the birth of Christ. This setting provides a colorful world of seekers, hustlers, and lost souls, providing the perfect jump off for an evening of exuberant music and dance that celebrates humanity's need for hope and grace."

The production is "presided over by a pastor heavily influenced by the likes of James Brown and supported by a choir of singers and dancers who perform musical sets infused with gospel, pop, funk, and soul."

Cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Theatre at St. Clement's is located at 423 West 46th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. For ticket information visit www.blacknativityoffbroadway.com.
