News Blaemire, Cavenaugh, Michele, Thomas and Thorell Will Sing Country June 1 The Broadway Loves series — which previously presented Broadway Loves the 80's — will continue June 1 at Joe's Pub with Broadway Loves Country.

Directed by Jamie McGonnigal and Xanadu's Marty Thomas with music direction by Randy Redd, the evening will feature a mix of theatre stars performing their favorite country tunes. Show time is 11:30 PM. Among those currently scheduled to perform are Whitney Bashor (Fantasticks, Whistle Down the Wind), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby, Glory Days), Matt Cavenaugh (A Catered Affair, Grey Gardens), Tracy Jai Edwards (Legally Blonde), Chris Jackson (In the Heights, Lion King), Kyle Dean Massey (Xanadu), Lea Michele (Spring Awakening), Thomas (Xanadu, Wicked), Katie Thompson and Clarke Thorell (Hairspray, Lonestar Love).

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Free Arts NYC, a "volunteer-based nonprofit established to bring the healing power of the arts to children and families who face poverty, homelessness, and other risk factors." For more information visit www.freeartsnyc.org.
