Though she is not nominated for her album "Achin' and Shakin'," which hits stores April 13, Bundy will perform the uptempo number on the ceremony which begins at 8 PM ET on CBS. Also scheduled to perform during the live awards ceremony is Reba McEntire (Annie Get Your Gun and South Pacific at Carnegie Hall), who is nominated for Top Female Vocalist of the Year.
The Great American Country channel will begin airing a special about Bundy April 11 at 11 PM ET. The documentary will explore Bundy's career from the Broadway stage to Nashville, where she currently resides. The special will also air April 12, 15 and 16. Visit GACTV.com.
Laura Bell Bundy was Tony-nominated for originating the role of Elle Woods in the Broadway musical Legally Blonde. She made her Broadway debut in the 2002 original cast of Hairspray as Amber Von Tussle and is also known for her work in Wicked and Ruthless!; she earned Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk nominations for her work as Tina Denmark in the latter. On screen Bundy has been seen in "Dreamgirls," "Guiding Light," "Jumanji," "Life with Mikey," "Adventures of Huck Finn," "Home Improvement," "Strangers with Candy" and "Curtis Court." Bundy's solo country debut recording, "Longing for a Place Already Gone," is currently available.
