The 13-track cast album was recorded April 26 and features the original Off-Broadway cast of the irreverent rock tuner that conjures the seventh U.S. President (played by Benjamin Walker) as a freewheeling rock star. Walker is the only cast member currently announced to repeat his performance in the Broadway transfer, which will begin Sept. 20 at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre. Opening night is Oct. 13.

Kurt Deutsch and Dean Sharenow produce the album of Bloody Bloody, which has a book by Alex Timbers and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. Timbers also directed the Off-Broadway production and will repeat his duties on Broadway this fall.

You can click here to pre-order the recording from the Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records website by clicking here. Playbill.com is also offering an exclusive first-listen to selections from the album.

Bloody Bloody was extended three times during its Public run and also earned a place as the second highest-grossing production in Public Theater history. The Public Theater, Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Scott M. Delman, Stewart F. Lane, Bonnie Comely and Susan Gallin/Mary Lu Roffe will produce the Broadway run.

The Broadway production will reunite the original Off-Broadway creative team, including scenic designer Donyale Werle, costume designer Emily Rebholz, lighting designer Justin Townsend and sound designer Bart Fasbender. Choreography is by Danny Mefford.
