News Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson Stars Set for Free Reading of Molly Goforth's (Don't) Look at Me Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will continue March 7 at 7 PM with a staged reading of Molly Goforth's (Don't) Look at Me at the CoCo Studio in NYC.

Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Seven Minutes in Heaven), the cast will feature Katya Campbell, Curzon Dobell, Erin Felgar (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Meredith Holzman (After the Revolution), Eric Loescheider and Kate Roberts (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). "In this hilarious satire of traditional courting rituals," press notes state, "Madeline and Emmy are youngish, prettyish, clever, and gainfully employed.  They drink the Barolo, eat the charcuterie, buy the handbags, get the highlights, and follow the trends and The Rules… and watch as their friends score boyfriends and husbands one by one. Madeline and Emmy are beginning to despair of reaching their castles in the sky…and then they discover Dolly.  With the hopes that the men they’re dating won’t mind splitting their focus between Dolly’s perfect body and their winning personalities, the girls use Dolly as bait.  After landing a pair of eligible bachelors all seems to be going swimmingly until Dolly begins to show signs of independence—thinking, acting, and even online shopping for herself.  Madeline and Emmy attempt to control Dolly’s increasing rebellion, but Dolly finds an ally in Dawn, a QVC operator who aids Dolly in her thrilling bid for escape and its ironic aftermath."

Colt Coeur is a NY-based ensemble of actors, designers, playwrights and directors dedicated to making original, story-driven, aggressively visceral theater.

The reading is free; however, seating is limited: RSVP to [email protected].   The CoCo Studio is located at 20 Jay Street, Suite 214, DUMBO, Brooklyn.  For more information go to www.coltcoeur.org.
