PlayBlog Bobby Cannavale Talks About His Injury at The Motherf**ker With the Hat (Video) Bobby Cannavale, the 2011 Tony Award nominee for his performance in The Motherf**ker With the Hat, sats down with "Morning Joe" on MSNBC to talk about his injury sustained during the May 25 performance of the Broadway show.

More than halfway through the show, Cannavale was injured backstage and left bleeding. The show paused for 15 minutes while he was bandaged. The actor then went back on stage and finished his Tony Award nominated performance. However, after the curtains closed he received stitches for his wound.

The Motherf**ker With the Hat is described as "a new high-octane, verbal cage match about love, fidelity, and misplaced haberdashery. Jackie and Veronica have been in love since the 8th grade. But now, Jackie is on parole and living clean and sober under the guidance of his sponsor, Ralph D, while still living and loving with his volatile soul mate Veronica who is fiercely loving, but far from sober. Still, their love is pure. And true. Nothing can come between them — except a hat."
