News Bogart, Ellis and Sullivan Set for "Working in the Theatre" Broadcast The American Theatre Wing's "Working in the Theatre" series will continue with a "Directors on Directing" program featuring Anne Bogart, Scott Ellis and Daniel Sullivan.

The program, which premieres March 2, features Bogart, Ellis and Sullivan discussing their early theatrical influences and the lasting impacts it made on their work. The trio of directors will also discuss "concept" in the directing process, their approach to new works versus revivals, as well as their opinions on assistants, which works they wouldn't direct, and if directing is a skill that can be taught.

Anne Bogart, who is currently represented Off-Broadway with Dead Man's Cell Phone, is the artistic director of the SITI Company. The Obie Award-winning director has staged Who Do You Think You Are, Radio Macbeth, Hotel Cassiopeia, Death and the Ploughman and runs the graduate directing program at Columbia University.

Scott Ellis serves as the associate artistic director of the Roundabout Theatre Company. A five-time Tony nominee, Ellis directed Kander and Ebb's Curtains as well as The Little Dog Laughed, Twelve Angry Men, The Man Who Had All the Luck, The Boys from Syracuse, The Rainmaker, 1776, and She Loves Me. Ellis will direct Good Boys and True at Second Stage Theatre this spring.

Daniel Sullivan earned the 2001 Tony Award for his direction of David Auburn's Proof. His Broadway credits also include The Homecoming, Prelude to a Kiss, Rabbit Hole, Julius Caesar, Brooklyn Boy, Sight Unseen, Retreat From Moscow, Morning's at Seven and An American Daughter. Sullivan currently serves as the acting artistic director of the Manhattan Theatre Club.

"Directors on Directing" will air March 2 at PM on CUNY TV, with repeat airings scheduled for March 7 at 9 AM, 2 & 7:30 PM; and March 8 at 11 AM. The program will also be available March 5 as streaming video and podcast by visiting www.americantheatrewing.org. CUNY-TV is a cable channel that serves the five boroughs of New York City.

The American Theatre Wing is the creator of the Tony Awards, which it presents annually with the League of American Theatres and Producers. Sondra Gilman is chairman of the Board of the Wing; Doug Leeds is president of the Board and Howard Sherman is executive director.
