Almost inconceivably, the emblematic and well-known figures of writer Jose Luis Borges and political leader Juan Domingo Peron share the stage at Teatro Nacional Cervantes.

Based on the book Borges y Peron (Borges and Peron) written by Enrique Estrazulas, and directed by Roberto Villanueva, the play takes place in Borges' office at the National Library, around 1973. Peron visits him to offer his support for the Literature Nobel Prize nomination, and in return asks Borges to keep his assignment as the Library head.

Borges and Peron are two historically antagonistic forces. However, the play shows the tension between these two forces turning into something else, as they are now elderly men. This is a story about two lonesome men confronted, in a particular moment of Argentina's history.

Duilio Marzio portrays Borges, and Victor Laplace who co-starred as Peron in the film Evita, quien quiera oir..." (Evita, whoever wants to hear...) will play Peron once again.
