Baayork Lee, who created the role of Connie Wong in A Chorus Line and worked with Tune in the original Broadway production of Seesaw, is the evening's guest presenter. Lee will speak about Tune prior to his acceptance of the Lifetime Award. JC Monahan, on-air personality at The Boston Channel (WCVB-TV), emcees the event, which begins at 6:30 PM with cocktails.

Swellegance is the annual fundraising gala to benefit Boston Youth Moves, a non-profit performing arts program serving Boston area youth. The evening features dancing, dining, complimentary champagne, a silent auction and live music by Soul City.

A nine-time Tony Award winner, director-choreographer-actor Tune has helped create such Broadway shows as Nine, My One & Only, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, The Will Rogers Follies and Grand Hotel. He helmed Off-Broadway's The Club and Cloud Nine, and he spent two years starring in the Las Vegas production of the spectacular EFX at the MGM Grand Hotel. Tune was seen in the 2006 national tour of Dr. Dolittle, and helmed the new Broadway-aimed musical The Turn of the Century at the Goodman Theatre in fall 2008.
