Classic Arts News Boston Lyric Opera Announces 2005-06 Season Boston Lyric Opera's 2005-06 season will include Donizetti's French-language Lucie de Lammermoor, Verdi's La traviata, and Massenet's ThaÇs, the company announced.
In addition, the company will stage free outdoor performances of Verdi's Aida on the Boston Common.

Lucie de Lammermoor, Donizetti's 1839 revision of his 1835 Italian-language Lucia di Lammermoor, will be directed by Lillian Groag, in a co-production with Glimmerglass Opera. Soprano Tracy Dahl stars; Emmanuel Plasson conducts.

La traviata stars soprano Dina Kuznetsova as Violetta. James Robinson directs; BLO music director Stephen Lord conducts. ThaÇs is directed by Renaud Doucet, in a production originally presented by Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Op_ra de Montr_al. Kelly Kaduce sings the title role; Steuart Bedford conducts.

Aida will star Lisa Daltirus. Willie Anthony Waters conducts; Colin Graham is the director.
