News Boston Pops Will Present Carousel in Concert in June Aaron Lazar, recently on Broadway in the revival of Les Misérables, and The Frogs' Rebecca Eichenberger will join the Boston Pops for three concert performances of Carousel June 13-15 at Boston's Symphony Hall.

Under the baton of conductor Keith Lockhart, the concerts of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic will also feature singers from the Tanglewood Music Center. Show time is 8 PM.

Eichenberger will play Nettie with Lazar as Billy Bigelow. Other roles will be played by Eve-Lyn de la Haye as Julie Jordan, Rebecca Jo Loeb as Carrie, Matthew Anderson as Mr. Snow and Mischa Bouvier as Jigger.

The concerts will also feature the talents of stage director Casey Hushion, music director Larry Goldberg and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (John Oliver, conductor).

Lockhart and the Pops will reprise the Carousel concert July 10 at Tanglewood.

Carousel bowed on Broadway in April 1945 at the Majestic Theatre, where it played 890 performances. The original cast included John Raitt and Jan Clayton. The 1956 Fox film co-starred Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones. The celebrated score includes such tunes as "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," "Mister Snow," "Soliloquy," "What's the Use of Wond'rin'?" and "You'll Never Walk Alone."

On Broadway Aaron Lazar has been seen in Les Misérables, The Light in the Piazza, The Phantom of the Opera and Oklahoma! and Off-Broadway in Hallelujah Baby!. He appeared in the London revival of On the Town as well as in the national tour of The Scarlet Pimpernel. His screen credits include "The Notorious Bettie Page," "One Man's Castle," "Johnny Moment," "The Poker Game," "Mahogany Pipe," "All My Children," "The Guiding Light" and "Empire."

Rebecca Eichenberger's Broadway credits include The Frogs, 1776, Carousel, A Grand Night for Singing and The Phantom of the Opera.
