The psychodrama, under the direction of Tom Bloom, will officially open Feb. 1 and continue through Feb. 15 at the Abingdon's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre.
"Is Sigmund Freud going crazy?" ask press notes for Freudian Slips. "Obsessed with a beautiful female patient, he dreams of killing her lover. Falling in love proves a major distraction for Freud while he prepares to duel his rival, the mad Dr. Otto Brotto, for the very survival of psychoanalysis."
The cast comprises Sue Brady, Warren Kelley, Joel Leffert, Jason Marr, Allen Lewis Rickman, Margi Sharp and David Smilow.
Freudian Slips has set designs by Lara Fabian, lighting design by Travis McHale, costume design by Neville Bean and Nancy Nichols, with musical composition and sound design by Margaret Pine.
