News Brandon J. Dirden and Jason Dirden Will Play Brothers in Suzan-Lori Parks' Topdog/Underdog at Two River Real-life brothers Brandon J. Dirden (Clybourne Park, Enron, Prelude to a Kiss) and Jason Dirden (Fences) will play siblings on stage in Two River Theater Company's Topdog/Underdog beginning Sept. 8.

Suzan-Lori Parks' Pulitzer Prize-winning work will kick off the company's 2012-13 season in New Jersey. Parks (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) will also — for the first time — direct the work, which officially opens Sept. 14 at the Rechnitz Theater. Topdog/Underdog, according to Two River, is the "darkly comic tale of two brothers, Lincoln and Booth — names given to them as a joke by their father. Obsessed with a street con game, three-card monte, the brothers are haunted by their own pasts — and our country's history." Performances will continue through Sept. 30.

Read more about the company's eight-play season, which includes Ethan Lipton's No Place to Go; William Shakespeare's Henry V; the world premiere of A Wind in the Willows Christmas; and Present Laughter, starring Michael Cumpsty, among others.

Two River Theater is located at 21 Bridge Avenue in Red Bank, NJ. For more information and tickets, call (732) 345-1400 or visit TRTC.org.
