Stella Goes to Hell, the new "garage" musical by Ian L. Fuller and Chad Yarborough, ends its world premiere June 23 at the 7 Stages Backstage Theatre under the auspices of the Brazen Act Theatre Company. Yarborough directs the piece, which began performances June 1.

When Ms. Stella Cohen takes a fall dancing at a post-doctorate celebration, she dies and goes to heaven, then hell, terrorizing the afterlife as she meets Jesus, the Devil and Zachary Taylor. As she travels the universe, Cohen, a "builder of forges and synagogues," searches for the meaning of life and finds a home. Fuller and Yarborough have previously collaborated on Darkly Trapped Like Dark Rats and Be Creative or Increasing the Gerbils.

Atlanta arts cooperative the Bluemilk Group will collaborate with Fuller and Yarborough on the score, which features banjo, guitar and anvil. A full-length video of the production will be produced.
