Brazier is known for his work in Canada and the U.S., and just released a solo album, "Reflect."

The Tony Award-winning 1994 musical has music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine. It's based on the 1981 French film "Passione d'Amore" directed by Ettore Scola, and the 19th-century "Fosca."

The rumination on love and romantic obsession continues at the intimate Upstairs space at CST's home on Navy Pier to Nov. 11. Griffin is CST's associate artistic director.

The cast is completed by Larry Adams as Lieutenant Barri; Marlene Flood as Fosca's Mother; Neil Friedman as Major Rizzolli; previously announced Kevin Gudahl as Colonel Ricci; Mike Nussbaum as Doctor Tambouri; James Rank as Lieutenant Torasso; Jeremy Rill as Augenti/Lodovic; Jennie Sophia as Mistress; and Joseph Tokarz as Sergeant Lombardi. Ana Gasteyer appeared on the Chicago stage as Elphaba in Wicked, as well as on Broadway, and in Broadway's The Threepenny Opera and The Rocky Horror Show. She has also starred in six seasons of "Saturday Night Live" and in such films as "Mean Girls" and "What Women Want" (with Mel Gibson).

Adam Brazier's Broadway credits include The Woman in White and the Tony Award-winning revival of Into the Woods. He also performed in Pygmalion and Pal Joey at the esteemed Shaw Festival, and in Stratford Festival's productions of The Miracle Worker and Man of La Mancha.

Kathy Voytko appeared as the original Ariadne in Lincoln Center's production of Sondheim's The Frogs opposite Nathan Lane, as well as on Broadway in the 2002 revival of Oklahoma! directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Susan Stroman, and the Tony Award-winning revival of Nine with Antonio Banderas. Chicago audiences will know her from her Joseph Jefferson Award-nominated performance in Circle Theatre's Putting It Together directed by Gary Griffin.

The production team is led by Tony Award-winning set designer Eugene Lee (Wicked) and Tony Award-nominated costume designer Paul Tazewell (The Color Purple and A Midsummer Night's Dream at CST in 2000). Rob Berman (Broadway revivals of The Pajama Game, Wonderful Town and The Music Man) will serve as music director. Associate musical director is Ben Johnson.

The creative team also includes lighting designer Paul Miller, sound designer James Savage and wig and makeup designer Melissa Veal.
