News Brent Barrett, Barbara Cook, Brian d'Arcy James and More Sing Zippel Tunes Feb. 24 Go the Distance: The Lyrics of David Zippel is the title of the Feb. 24 concert in The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center that will feature the work of Tony-winning lyricist David Zippel.

The 8:30 and 10:30 PM concerts will boast the talents of Brent Barrett, Brian d'Arcy James, Jenny Fellner, Jason Graae, Anne Letscher, Sally Mayes, Lindsay Mendez, Billy Porter and Tony Award winner Barbara Cook; the latter will appear the 8:30 PM show only. Both shows will feature musical direction by Christopher Marlowe. David Zippel penned the lyrics for the Broadway musicals The Woman in White, City of Angels and The Goodbye Girl. He has also written for such films as "Hercules," "Mulan," "The Swan Princess," "Frankie and Johnny" and "The Wedding Planner." He is also the lyricist and director of the Broadway-bound musical Princesses. Tony Award winner Zippel has received two Academy Award, two Grammy and three Golden Globe nominations.
