The tour officially launches at the Music Hall in Fair Park in Dallas. Barrett will play Mr. Darling/Captain Hook in the musical that features songs by Moose Charlap, Carolyn Leigh, Jule Styne, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show is drawn from James M. Barrie's famed book and play about the boy who wouldn't grow up.
Rigby and Barrett previously performed together in the national tour of the most recent Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun. Kim Crosby (Cinderella in the original Into the Woods) continues in the role of Mrs. Darling.
A list of cities following Dallas will be announced. The new leg of the tour will tech and preview June 1-24 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts in California.
Former Olympic gymnast Rigby was Tony Award-nominated as Peter Pan in 1991; when she returned to Broadway with the show in 1999, she won a Best Actress Award from the Outer Critics Circle.
