News Brian Cox to Play God (on Screen) in West End's Monty Python's Spamalot; Joe Pasquale Will Return to Cast TV presenter and physicist Professor Brian Cox is to play God on screen in Monty Python's Spamalot during performances Jan. 20-26.

In a press statement he said, "It is a reasonable no brainer. If Eric Idle says to you, ‘Do you want to be God in Spamalot?’ then I’d be surprised if anybody had ever said no."

He joins a roster that has previously included Hugh Bonneville, Michael Palin, Barbara Windsor, Larry Lamb, Bradley Walsh, Simon Callow, Gary Lineker, Michael Ball and Christopher Biggins in the show on film.

Cox appears in aid of his chosen charity, The University of Manchester Student Access Program. It is a program that supports entry to the University through the completion of a portfolio of work that demonstrates specific knowledge and skills.

Also from Jan. 20, actor and comedian Joe Pasquale, who previously played the role of King Arthur during the summer of 2013, returns to the role. He joins Carley Stenson, who continues as the Lady of the Lake.
