Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will make a guest appearance on the April 29 episode of NBC-TV's "Crossing Jordan." Mitchell, who earned a Tony Award for his work in the recent revival of Kiss Me, Kate, will guest star on the NBC drama "Crossing Jordan" in an episode entitled "Someone to Count On." Three-time Emmy winner Jack Klugman and film actor Jerry O'Connell also guest-star on the April 29 show, which airs on NBC at 10 PM EST.
Brian Stokes Mitchell won the 2000 Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards for his performance as Fred Graham/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate. His other Broadway credits include roles in Ragtime; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Jelly's Last Jam; Oh, Kay!; Mail; and the City Center Encores! presentations of Do Re Mi and Carnival. Television audiences will be familiar with Mitchell's work from his roles on "Trapper John, M.D.," "Roots" and the aforementioned "Frasier."
On May 10 Stokes begins a limited run as the title character in the Kennedy Center production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Mitchell will play opposite the Mrs. Lovett of Christine Baranski.
