News Bridge & Tunnel and In the Continuum Chat on "Theater Talk" Jan. 21 Sarah Jones of Broadway's Bridge & Tunnel as well as Nikkole Salter and Danai Gurira of Off-Broadway's In the Continuum will appear on "Theater Talk" Jan. 21 at 12:30 AM (ET). Check local listings.

Nikkole Salter and Danai Gurira star in their work, In the Continuum, playing Off-Broadway at the Perry Street Theatre through Feb. 18 before the show heads off on an international tour across the United States and Africa. Robert O'Hara directs the work which previously played Primary Stages at the 59E59 Street Theatres.

"In the Continuum dramatizes the devastating problem of HIV/AIDS among African and African-American women that has reached an all time high both in the US and Africa," according to show materials. The show's co-creators portray numerous characters in two parallel stories — a married Zimbabwean woman and a 19-year-old girl from South Central Los Angeles — in this tale told from a woman's perspective.

Soloist Sarah Jones currently stars in the new Broadway run of her Bridge & Tunnel at the Helen Hayes Theatre. The work previously seen Off-Broadway at the 45 Bleecker Street Theatre will open Jan. 26 for a run through March 12.

Bridge & Tunnel plays to Jones' chameleon-like talents as she tackles over a dozen characters including a Pakistani accountant, a Chinese mother and a young Latina at a local community poetry slam. The characters in the work explore issues of assimilation in modern urban America, putting the New York melting pot to the test.

"Theater Talk" is hosted by Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. The half-hour show airs late Friday nights after midnight on WNET/Thirteen. Check local listings for repeat air times. For more information, visit www.theatertalk.org.
