The New York Post previously stated that such artists as Jessie J and "Dreamgirls" Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, who performed a song from the musical during the 2014 Tony Awards, were confirmed to appear on the album. Also rumored to lend their vocals are Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift. A release date for the album has not been announced.
Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus (Pippin, Porgy and Bess, Hair) directs Finding Neverland, which features a score by U.K. pop songwriters Gary Barlow and Elliot Kennedy and is also based on the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee. It has a book by Olivier Award nominee James Graham (This House).
Performances begin March 15 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre towards an April 15 opening night.
The cast will also feature Laura Michelle Kelly, Kelsey Grammer and Carolee Carmello.
