Entitled Page by Page by Paige, the tour, celebrating the acclaimed singing actress' 50th anniversary in show business, began Oct. 9 in Cardiff and was filmed at London’s Royal Albert Hall Oct. 20 with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
The broadcast, part of BBC's "Friday Night Is Music Night," will air from 8-10 PM London time.
The acclaimed singing actress is joined by special guest Gardar Thor Cortes and the Mountview Academy Theatre of Arts. Listeners can expect to hear Paige's renditions of "Memory," "As If We Never Said Goodbye," "I Know Him so Well," "Good Morning Starshine," "Je Ne Regrette Rien" and more.
The tour, according to press notes, encompasses "Elaine Paige’s monumental career, with songs from the world of musical theatre and her hugely successful recording catalogue."
“I’ve thought long and hard about this decision, but feel this landmark event, my 50th Anniversary, is a good time to bid adieu," Paige said in an earlier statement. "I’m really look forward to seeing everyone – it’ll be As If We Never Said Goodbye!”
The tour does not mark the Olivier winner's retirement, only her decision not to embark on further tours.
Paige's numerous London theatrical credits include Evita, Cats, Chess, Sunset Boulevard, Piaf, The King and I, Anything Goes, The Drowsy Chaperone and more.
